Storm 18

The Storm 18 was designed to deliver an exceptional sailing experience.  The objectives were easy and controllable sailing characteristics, and a stable and safe platform that is versatile enough to be used by learn-to-sail participants, junior sailors, family racing, interclub racing (fleet racing, team racing, and match racing), and institutional staff.

Vanguard Nomad

Like most innovative product developments, boat design involves blending design parameters targeted at a community of users. The design of the Vanguard Nomad was driven by a set of requirements recognizing that trailer-able daysailors for families have been left out of the “trickle-down” benefits of performance design trends.

Vanguard Vector

The Vector was designed for the speed and handling of the highest performance boats on the market, yet comfortable and forgiving enough for two intermediate sailors to enjoy.

Modern double trapeze dinghies have generally fallen into two camps: speedy and nimble but too challenging for all but the very elite sailors, or accommodating to a wide range of skills, yet too heavy and slow to be truly thrilling.

Cheetah 30

The Cheetah 30 was designed and built in the 90's.  At the time, it featured innovations that would find their way into the sailing world, where they would become more commonplace.  The Cheetah 30 is known for its speed and performance, while also being affordable and easily ramp-launched from a trailer. With a displacement of 2300lbs and a 7ft lifting keel that includes a 1000lbs in a lead bulb, the Cheetah was stable, light, fast, and with a fiberglass construction and aluminum mast, very affordable.

Vanguard 15

The Vanguard 15 is a popular American planing sailing dinghy. Over 2000 were produced. It was first built in 1992 and is known for its one-design racing capabilities. The boat is made predominantly of fiberglass and features a fractional sloop rig with aluminum spars, a raked stem, a vertical transom, a transom-hung rudder controlled by a tiller, and a retractable daggerboard. It displaces 200 lb (91 kg) and is capable of planing upwind.

Although the Vanguard 15 is no longer in production, it remains a popular choice for club-level fleet racing and team racing. The class association continues to run events and maintain a strong community of sailors.
